The other thing that affects price is the siding choice. A 12×16 storage shed with vinyl siding will run around $1000-$2,000 more than the same shed with wood siding. A few storage shed styles allow for the option of wood clapboard siding, which runs about $2,000-$3,000 more than the standard wood siding.

Due to the size shed in my city, we had to get a permit. This required some work and the Tempe office had horrible follow up communication. We had issues with them on a few aspects of this job. Lastly, the builder that constructed the shed complained daily while on-site. Hey wasn't happy about something always and my fiance was very nice to him all along. Tons of nails left in our dirt afterward which isn't good with two large dogs. Love the product just not getting there. Poor customer service.

My main complaint is that it took forever to be scheduled for construction - like 2-3 months. Once it got here, the guy put it up in about 6 hours. The shed itself seems solid but the walls are pretty thin. Overall it's good quality, though - worth paying the extra money for a solid, good looking wood shed versus the ugly metal ones at Lowe's. On a side note, if you're going to build your own foundation, don't trust the specs they send you - my installer put the 4x4s on in the opposite direction that the specs said. They will just lay the 4x4s on the ground so if you want something different, you can make a cement foundation or set up the posts like I did (cement blocks with wooden blocks on top).
This depends entirely on your comfort level and experience. If you are unsure, consider a kit that has precut and drilled lumber.
